Mom of this two-year-old baby called her son’s hug a “blessing from God.”
The smallest of gestures sometimes can have the deepest effect on a person especially the person who are miserable. And when it comes from an innocent child, it will be something more special. When going about his day delivering pizzas, the man named Ryan Catterson didn’t know a two-year-old was about to touch his heart. He dropped by Lindsey Sheely’s Rhode Island home to deliver a pizza that she had ordered. Then, the doorbell camera caught a sweet moment between the two. When he was about to leave after making the delivery, Cohen, Sheely’s young son chased after him and gave him a hug.
Catterson reciprocated the love of Cohen by bending down and hugging right back. After the endearing moment, Cohen’s mom came in to bring her son back inside. The 2-year-old baby was so full of love that he kept blowing kisses as Catterson walked back to his vehicle. “Enjoy your pizza!” Catterson is heard saying in the video. Lindsey decided to share the sweet interaction on social media to give others a laugh and “warm your hearts.” However, there was more to the encounter.

She wrote on her Facebook: “Last night when we got our pizza (and ranch) delivered, Cohen ran out to hug the delivery guy and tried to give him a kiss, too! We thought it was so sweet and funny, then realized that our doorbell might have caught the interaction on camera, and it did!! I hope it gives you a laugh and warms your heart like it did for us. Even better, is that I posted this to my IG stories last night and somehow, it found it’s way to the man who delivered our pizza! Thank you, Ryan, for being so sweet with our little guy! Update: little did we know what Cohen’s hug to this stranger would mean. Someone showed Ryan the video I posted to my IG, so he messaged me, and I found him on FB so he could share the video. Through this, we found out that Ryan unexpectedly lost his daughter recently, and that hug from Cohen was a little blessing from God. I believe in divine appointments and know that Ryan was the one to deliver our pizza for a reason. “
Sheely learned that Catterson’s daughter who was 16 years old breathed her last suddenly the previous week. Catterson told that the hug meant a lot to him. He said: “After losing my daughter this past week, it touched me because it was like she was there,” .
“It really just meant a lot to me.”
The toddler’s sweet gesture melted hearts. The post went viral after that and received a lot of comments from the internet users.
” Love this video , children see so much more than adults”
“Touched me…There are still goodness and loving people in this world. May God bless you and yours family forever.”
“This touched my heart immensely. I lost a baby boy in 1993. My daughter passed away in March 2015 and I lost a stepson in December 2015. My heart goes out to Ryan and his ex-wife.”
