Three women arrived at the Pearly Gates and stood before St. Peter and an angel to determine what kind of heavenly rewards they would receive.
St. Peter looked them over and asked, “I have just one question for you all: Have you lived a chaste life?”
The first woman stepped forward proudly. “I only ever slept with one man—my husband. And our very first time was on our wedding night.”
St. Peter smiled warmly. “A life lived exactly as intended. Give her the key to the Golden Room.”
The second woman said, “I became a nun as a young lass and never once knew a man’s touch.”
St. Peter beamed with admiration. “Truly exceptional devotion! Give her the key to the Platinum Room!”
The third woman sighed and confessed, “Well, I slept with 239 guys. 67 before marriage, 35 while dating, 12 while engaged, 78 during marriage, and 46 after my husband died.”
St. Peter stood stunned in silence for a moment, then leaned over and whispered to the angel:
“Give her the key to my room.”
