Late one afternoon, an elderly woman called 911 in a complete panic.
She was nearly in tears.
“Please help me!” she cried.
“Someone broke into my car!”
The dispatcher tried to calm her down.
“Alright, ma’am. Tell me what was taken.”
The woman took a deep breath and said,
“Everything!”
“They stole my steering wheel…”
“…the brake pedal…”
“…the accelerator…”
“…and even the radio!”
The dispatcher replied,
“Please stay calm. An officer is on the way.”
Just a few minutes later, the responding officer radioed back.
“Dispatch… you can cancel that call.”
The dispatcher asked,
“Everything okay?”
The officer chuckled.
“Yep…”
“She accidentally got into the back seat.” 😂
