I was wandering through Walmart when I spotted a woman intensely searching through the frozen poultry section.
She picked up turkey after turkey, inspected each one carefully, and put it back with an increasingly frustrated look on her face.
Finally, she noticed a young employee restocking the shelves nearby.
She called him over and asked very seriously,
“Excuse me, young man… do these turkeys get any bigger?”
The employee stopped what he was doing.
He stared at her for a moment, completely expressionless.
Then he calmly replied,
“No, ma’am.”
The woman waited for more information.
The employee continued:
“They’re dead.”
The woman stood there silently.
The employee went right back to stocking the shelves as if nothing had happened.
I walked away trying not to laugh.
Honestly, that one sentence made my entire week.
