Donald Trump has announced a new title and people have been left with some powerful thoughts.
There’s nothing like being marked with a new respected title as a world leader.
Already, Trump has been called a businessman, a president and a man finding peace between Russia and the Ukraine, but now he shared that Europe has its own moniker for him too.
Of course, the ode to Trump comes at a perilous time, being the wa:r that has been upon the two nations for some years now.
Just this month, Trump made measures to formalize a cea:se-fi:re, meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15 to discuss the possibility of ending the w:ar.
While no agreement was achieved, Trump stated that ‘we have a very good chance of getting there’.
He then met with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on August 18 to discuss a cea:se-fire.
With so much work being done to help Ukraine reach an agreement, Trump has claimed that he was given a new title as a result of the meeting.
He claimed that Europeans now refer to him as the ‘President of Europe’.
Speaking to reporters Monday August 25, Trump called it an ‘honor’ to receive the recognition from the entire continent.
“They jokingly call me the president of Europe,” he said during the Oval Office briefing to journalists in attendance.
“It’s an honor. I like Europe and I like those people,” Trump added.
He added that Europe has ‘excellent’ leaders, and that gathering with delegates from many countries was unprecedented.
He said: “We’ve never had a case where seven, plus 28 – essentially 35, 38 – countries were represented here the other day.”
