Don’t Discard the Lemon Seeds after Juicing. Discover Their Valuable Uses

If you usually throw lemon seeds away after taking all juice, it’s time for you to see their potential values.

How to Use Lemon Seeds

– Lemons are high in vitamin C with their natural acidity, which are a great complement to your diet to help with digestion, and minimize bloating.

– Set aside the seeds after using a lemon, rinse the seeds well in a sieve with room temperature water. To dry, place them on a paper towel. Using tweezers, carefully remove the outer layer of skin that covers the seeds.

– Subsequently, put some moist cotton inside a small container (a yogurt pot would work well). Place the seeds inside the cotton for at least a week. It will take around seven days for you to see a tiny shoot come out of the seed.

– Make sure that both the cotton and the surrounding environment remain damp to foster the growth of the sapling until it establishes small roots. Once it reaches this stage, transfer the seedling to a compact container containing a blend of soil and perlite to provide optimal drainage.

– Store it in a warm, well-ventilated place away from drafts. If you keep the soil continuously moist, nature will take its course and you will ultimately have a mature lemon tree that will produce luscious fruits.

Making Your Own Natural Fragrance

– Place the seeds in a petite canvas bag to infuse a pleasant lemon scent into your drawers, cabinets, or various spaces, like the bathroom.

– In the winter, suspend the bag close to a heater to disperse the delightful lemon fragrance. The potential uses for these versatile citrus seeds are limitless.
