Meghan Markle made ‘subtle change’ to Prince Archie’s birthday post following backlash

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Archie, turned six this week, and the Duchess of Sussex marked the occasion with a lovely snapshot of her eldest.

Archie can be seen looking over the balcony, away from the camera.

The child looks to be marveling at the magnificent sunset in the background, with Meghan captioning the post: “Our son. Our Sun.

“Happy sixth birthday to Archie!

“Thank you for all of your love, prayers, and good wishes for our little baby. He’s six. Where did time go?

“(And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special).”

According to DailyMail.com, Meghan pulled out one aspect in the photo’s description after receiving some controversy in recent weeks.

Meghan referred to her kid as ‘Archie’ in the heartfelt note rather than ‘Prince Archie.’

Royal fans would be aware that Prince William and Kate Middleton regularly refer to their children by their titles in birthday messages.

However, Meghan faced criticism last month as it was claimed she utilized her ‘HRH’ title after leaving the royal family in 2020.

Meghan was conversing with her friend Jamie Kern Lima during a podcast interview that was published on YouTube when an image of a gift box of ice cream and handmade strawberry sauce was revealed.

A card printed on monogrammed paper stated, “With the compliments of HRH the Duchess of Sussex.”

The couple stood down as senior working royals in March 2020, eventually settling in California and signing arrangements with Spotify and Netflix to make their own money, according to The Times.

The Palace confirmed in a 2020 statement that the Sussexes ‘will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer functioning members of the royal family.’

According to The Times, this means they would be unable to utilize HRH for commercial purposes, such as promoting a series, with Meghan credited as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex in her Netflix lifestyle series.

However, the Sussexes’ representatives have issued a statement to address the subject, telling Hello! Magazine that the pair ‘do not utilize’ their HRH titles, despite the fact that the titles have not been legally removed.
