A married couple was wandering through a carnival funhouse when they discovered a strange mirror with a sign that read:
“THIS MIRROR NEVER LIES.”
The wife immediately stepped in front of it.
She smiled and asked,
“Mirror, mirror… who’s the most beautiful woman here?”
The mirror sparkled brightly.
“YOU!”
The wife beamed with satisfaction.
“Finally! A mirror with good taste.”
Then her husband stepped forward.
He looked at the mirror suspiciously.
“Okay, my turn. Mirror, tell me honestly…”
“When was the last time I lied to my wife?”
The mirror suddenly turned bright red.
It began shaking.
Smoke started pouring from the frame.
Then it screamed:
“THIRTY SECONDS AGO!”
The husband gulped.
His wife slowly turned toward him.
He nervously asked,
“Okay… about what?”
The mirror immediately replied:
“When you said, ‘Of course I remember our anniversary.’”
The wife crossed her arms.
The husband looked at the mirror.
The mirror looked back at him.
Then the husband whispered:
“Can I ask one more question?”
The mirror replied:
“Absolutely not. I’m already overheating.”
